Have you looked in the Bible to see how God feels about you?
Do these two match? If not, I encourage you to begin seeing yourself as God sees you. Study God’s word and you will see that you are fearfully and wonderfully made in His image. You were created in your mother’s womb by God’s own hand. You are precious to Him. He has blessed you with talents and gifts, and you have a purpose.
Hard to believe? I like this quote by Christine Caine:
“If you don’t know what Jesus says about you, You will believe what the world says about you.”
Do you know what Jesus says about you? Don’t let the world dictate how you feel about yourself. Go to the source – read your Bible, spend time with God, and learn what he has to say about you. Take a step of faith and start believing that you are valuable to Him. Spend some time in prayer and let Him touch your heart and remind you of how much you are loved.
You are fearfully & wonderfully made – Psalm 139:14
You are His workmanship – Ephesians 2:10
You are chosen, a royal priesthood, 1 Peter 2:9
Do not let your adorning be external—the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear— but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God’s sight is very precious. – 1 Peter 3:3-4
Mightier than the waves of the sea is His love for you – Psalm 93:4
You are loved more than you will ever know by someone who died to know you – Romans 5:6
